Civil Litigation
In addition to advice and counseling in the substantive areas of our practice, we provide related advocacy representation in civil litigation involving those areas. Examples of litigated matters we have handled to our clients' satisfaction include:
- Litigation of cases in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies on behalf of both public and private employers, including jury trials, appellate proceedings and arbitration proceedings.
- Favorable settlement of National Labor Relations Act Section 301 action.
- Successfully responding to charges of discrimination in Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Minnesota Department of Human Rights and Minneapolis Department of Civil Rights.
- Successfully defending challenges to lay-offs, including litigating veterans' preference claims.
